Abstract

The article focuses on a study that describes and uses a technique using Passive Induced Transponder (PIT) tags to monitor individual use of supplementary feed in wild mountains hare Lepus timidus populations and tests the assumption that supplementary feed reaches the target population. It cites the role of food availability in vertebrate population dynamics despite the proliferation of supplementary feeding studies. The Generalised Linear Models (GLM) were used to assess the time individuals spent feeding.
