Abstract

The article discusses Procter & Gamble's (P&G) efforts to win back customers who have substituted cheaper household products for P&G's premium-priced offerings. Although Procter lowered some of its prices amid an economic recession, going forward it will combine discounts with strategies such as introducing improved products without hiking prices.
