Abstract

The article discusses the status of Australian dollar in the face of various factors such as the economic downturn and globalisation. It notes the implications of its exchange rate to other currencies such as the U.S. dollar, yen, and euro which is interpreted by currency traders as a sign of resistance in the medium term. Also explored are the move of companies on how to take advantage of the strong currency as well as its positive and negative impact on manufacturing, tourism, and education.
