Abstract

Examines the effect of prior winning and losing experiences on the initiation and response strategies of contestants in contests between individuals of Rivulus marmoratus. Frequency of initiating aggressive interactions; Probability of retreating after being attacked; Decrease of willingness to initiate a contest by individuals with losing experiences.
