Recent EU Legislative Action on Airports.

The article discusses legislative and regulatory activity based on the Airport Package issued by the European Commission. It explores initiatives related to airport capacity problems. The article also provides an overview of efforts to improve the use of existing capacity and discusses the issue of airport infrastructure. A Commission proposal for a Directive on Airport Charges (ACD) which aims to establish common principles for the levying of airport charges at community airports is also discussed.
