Abstract

The article discusses the return of radio drama in Canada. It states that this entertainment form used to be popular until technological changes in 1937, such as the development of television, eventually made it almost obsolete. It mentions that radio drama broadcasting made a comeback in 2007 with the release of programs such as "Afghanada," which covered the story of Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan. A suggestion is made that such could be a boon to playwrights who are not averse to writing for radio. A list of previous radio drama programs is cited.
