The Adventure of the Typewriter for Heavy Hands.

The article presents the author's experience in redesigning a manual typewriter while working in a large company in India. It recalls how the author dealt with a heavy touch typewriter when he was assigned in the mechanism design group and was asked to redesign the six-bar linkage of the typing keys to a more efficient eight-bar linkage system. It notes how the author solved the problem by carefully analyzing each component of the manual typewriter.
