Abstract
- The article presents a case study on the systemic hypertension of a 12-year-old spayed female Alaskan Malamute with a functional thyroid gland adenocarcinoma. The use of Doppler sphygmomanometry reveals the 250 mm Hg systolic blood pressure of the dog while chemotherapeutics was performed for postoperative treatment. Furthermore, it discusses the conduct of thyroidectomy in both lobes of the gland and of histologic examination which discloses the adenocarcinoma in the thyroid gland.
