Abstract
- The article reports on a tentative plan announced by U.S. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner to terminate the 700 billion U.S. dollar Troubled Asset Relief Program in 2010. The announcement has been applauded by critics of the program, which include the investment banking community claiming that it has caused more problems than it has solved. It is suggested that the real benefits of the program cannot be immediately assessed.
