Abstract
- The article reports on the application of the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) on Confined Large Optical Scintillator Screen and Imaging System (CoLOSSIS) designed by Optics 1 to monitor the performance of weapons in Amarillo, Texas. The Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) developed a prototype for the system. It mentions that x-ray beam produces a shadow in the system. Moreover, CoLLOSSIS promotes efficiency in weapon inspection.
