Abstract

The article focuses in laparoscopic surgery in pregnancy and its complications. It says that a cholecystectomy was the first laparoscopy performed in pregnancy in 1991. It states that recommendations of laparoscopy in pregnancy will determined by several factors such as operation during any trimester in pregnancy, preoperative and postoperative fetal heart monitoring, and non-usage of prophylactic tocolytics. It states that complications of the surgery are often associated with the entry.
