Abstract
- The article presents a study by U.S. Green Building Council and consultant Booz Allen Hamilton that assessed the costs of qualifying for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. The study entitled "Green Jobs Study" found that the average cost to get a building certified under LEED is 4.01 U.S. dollars per square feet. The figure translates to 830 million U.S. dollars in LEED-related construction spending from 2000 to 2008.
