Abstract

The article presents a randomized controlled trial on the relative efficacy of pager messaging and peer support in the promotion of antiretroviral modifying therapy among HIV-positive outpatients in Seattle, Washington. It notes on the association of peer intervention in self-reported adherence and of pager intervention in biological outcomes. It reveals the possible efficacy of peer support and pager messaging in improving antiretroviral adherence and biological outcomes of the outpatients.
