Abstract: The article offers information on how different countries of the world have approached the subject of depicting the Czeckslovakia Revolution of 1989, that marked the collapse of communism in the Central and Eastern Europe, in films. Berlin International Film Festival marked the 20th anniversary by showing movies depicting the times before and after the change. Reportedly, festivals in Eastern countries including Sarajevo and Warsaw paid less attention to the subject due to sociopolitical reasons.
