Abstract
- The article deals with a study that examined the Defenders of Wildlife Bailey Wildlife Foundation Wolf Compensation Trust, which provides livestock compensation for Mexican gray wolf depredations in the Southwestern U.S. A 41% response rate was received by a survey of livestock producers. Results of the study showed that the compensation program is inadequate in meeting the needs of participants. The study also found that majority of respondents viewed compensation as a publicity stunt by environmental organizations.
