Laypersons' Emotional Responses to Capital Penalty Trial Evidence: Qualitative Data from a Simulated Jury Experiment.

In this paper, I explore some of the ways in which mock jurors react to the evidence in a capital penalty phase trial and how emotional responses are narratively expressed and persuasively used in the deliberation context.
