From Stories of Origin to Political Domination - Indigenous Theories of Territorial Jurisprudence in Africa and the Colombian Amazon.

This paper will explore the extent to which stories of origin defne territorial rights of indigenous people. The impact of colonial and post-colonial influences will also be examined with the view to understanding some of the emerging tensions between peoples in these countries.
