Making the paper: Samar Khatiwala.

The article focuses on a study conducted by Samar Khatiwala and colleagues at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University in Palisades, New York, regarding the ocean carbon problems. They further measure the amount of carbon from carbon dioxide and the amount that came from human activity. Through the used of advection-diffusion equations, they found out that Southern Ocean absorbs larger amount of emissions, with approximately 40% of the total emission.
