Abstract

The article presents a study that uses polyethylene glycol (PEG) in modifying thin film deposition by Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD) to synthesize zinc oxide (ZnO) hexagonal single crystal slices with 0001 and 0001 facets. It focuses on the controlled growth of crystals such as those of ZnO and notes that the use of PEG as reagent in CBD yielded product with flatter lamellar morphologies. It establishes a pathway for developing active ZnO catalysts and other functional materials.
