It is possible to perceive a frontier only when spaces placed on both sides of the limit have a demographic base and when a real net of social relations exists between these populations located on both sides of the international limit. The general aim of the present work contributes to the knowledge of the demographic potential of the Argentinian-Paraguayan border, specially its spatial distribution and demographic structure, in order to establish differences and similarities on both sides of the political limit.
