Abstract

The article deals with the application of numerology in buildings. A condominium in Hong Kong, China built by real property developer Henderson Land Development Co. is said to have become controversial due to the unusual numbering of its floors. Some buildings avoid the number 13, which is usually considered unlucky, by renaming it as the 14th floor as in the case of the Skirvin Hotel in Oklahoma City. Marc Realty marketing coordinator Dan Krc stated that the fear of 13 or triskaidekaphobia seems to be disappearing.
