MEDICAL ISOTOPE BILL CLEARS SUBPANEL.

The article reports that House Energy and Commerce Committee submitted the H.R. 3276 Bill on October 14, 2009 regarding the supply of molybdenum-(Mo) 99 in U.S. for medical isotopes. The bill permits the domestic production of Mo along with the elimination of exporting process for uranium within seven years. Moreover, the bill entails a 163 million dollars fund to support the Department of Energy (DOE) in carrying out domestic production of Mo without the utilization of uranium.
