Abstract
- The article discusses flaws in charitable giving and offers suggestions for improvement. In the author's view philanthropic institutions and private donors need to be more generous, and they must also place greater emphasis on helping those genuinely in need such as poor and disabled persons. He also calls for greater public accountability and more multi-year funding.
