Intelligent Transport.

The article discusses the intelligent transportation system used in Beijing, China since April 28, 2007 which was put to the test during the celebration of the 60th anniversary of founding of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 2009. Facilities include monitoring of rider traffic at subways, mapping of traffic congestion and locations of police officers and vehicles, and smart traffic lights. A report from the Transport Information Center shows that in 2009, residents chose public transport over private automobiles.
