Abstract
- The article reports on the call by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) for businesses to reconsider written health and safety rules. The IOSH warns about the threat of poor literacy among workers in England to the health and safety burden of employers. IOSH President Nattasha Freeman stresses the need for employers to communicate with staff on health and safety issues and reiterated their legal duty to keep employees healthy and safe at work. Freeman also emphasizes the importance of conducting induction programs with new employees.
