Abstract: Presents trends in patients' use of major health care services, using data from the National Health Care Survey conducted by the United States National Center for Health Statistics. Findings indicating that the US population has been receiving more drugs, more cardiac procedures, more ambulatory surgery, more therapies in nursing homes and more home health care over time.
