Big, Little and Non-Bombs.

The article presents update on the weapons development efforts of the U.S. Navy. Among the tasks undertaken at the Navy's Propulsion and Energetics Division were the development of a very low-collateral-damage bomb, reduction of penetrating bomb fuzes, and improvement of the penetration and lethality of the AGM-114N thermobaric Hellfire missile. Priority areas were also identified in response to budget cuts including autonomous unmanned aircraft, weapons miniaturization, air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
