Abstract

The article focuses on the benefits of daily exercise. It is recommended that adults without chronic conditions should do moderate-intensity physical activity through 30 minutes of exercise five days per week. Information on the Standard Medical Intervention and Long-Term Exercise (SMILE) Study is provided. The psychological benefits of exercise include enhanced self-esteem and improved cognitive functioning, while weight loss/control and a stronger immune system are some of the physical benefits.
