Pharmacokinetics and Safety of Etravirine Administered Once or Twice Daily After 2 Weeks Treatment With Efavirenz in Healthy Volunteers.

The article presents a study that measures etravirine pharmacokinetics for once and twice a day with and without a preceding efavirenz intake phase in healthy volunteers. Volunteers were given etravirine 400 mg once or 200 mg twice a day for 14 days. Pharmacokinetic parameters comparisons were done through geometric mean ratios and 90 percent confidence intervals. Results show that efavirenz concentrations were noticeable in all subjects seven days after efavirenz was stopped.
