Abstract

The article discusses teenage pregnancy in the U.S. After a long period of decline, births to teenage mothers have been increasing since 2005. The relationship between high rates of teenage pregnancy and so-called abstinence-only sex educations in high schools is examined. A lack of access to contraceptives for teenage girls among minorities is considered.
