Abstract

In this article the authors discusses aspects of the uncertainties in assessing environmental exposure, risk, and ecological impacts of nanomaterials. The authors note that in order to inform regulation, the fate and interactions of nanomaterials (NMs) in complex environmental complexes must be assessed for exposure and harm. They also highlight the implications of research being done at the U.S. Center for the Environmental Implications of Nanotechnolgy (CEINT).
