Abstract
- The article comments on ontological security concepts regarding international relations and nationalism in China. The author uses an instrumental rationale based on economist Milton Friedman's principles to explain the ontological security theories. He treats the state as a person, which increases theoretical productivity. It is mentioned that China's economic reforms brought about a crisis of communism in the world economy, but gradually China has shifted focus from communism to nationalism.
