Technology's limits.

An essay is presented on the limitations of the Future Combat Systems (FCS) technology being used by the U.S. military system to improve situational awareness and real-time sharing of information across future battlefields. It analyzes the costs of such technology in terms of leadership and the human capital enterprise. It says that the FCS, although able to run a war through computers, does not consider the elements of brotherhood and motivation needed in human relationships since these cannot be programmed.
