Examines the introduction of microbubbles in medical science. Use of contrast agents in imaging; Description of microbubbles, which work by resonating in an ultrasound beam, rapidly contracting and expanding in response to the pressure changes of the sound wave; Development of microbubbles as tools for delivery of gene therapy and other treatments to specific sites.
