Abstract
- Abstract: A composite cathode, consisting of Ba(Zr0.1Ce0.7Y0.2)O3−δ (BZCY) and La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3−δ (LSCF), has shown high catalytic activity toward oxygen reduction, demonstrating a peak power density of 855mWcm−2 at 750°C. The chemical compatibility between BZCY and LSCF is excellent since there was no evidence of chemical reaction between the two after being fired at 1100°C for 10h. The stability of the composite cathode is further shown in single cells operated at 750 and 600°C for 100h without observable degradation in performance. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
