Abstract

The article presents a study which determines the effect of age in the relationship of fractional concentration of exhaled nitric oxide (FENO) and airways hyperresponsiveness (AHR) in asthmatic children. It states that 267 asthmatics were examined for AHR using acetylcholine chloride (Ach) and FENO with the recommended online method before the Ach. It concludes that AHR is associated with airway inflammations in children while adolescents are associated with changes in the structure of airways.
