Abstract

The article explores the kinetics of bony spur formation and the association of bony spur formation to synovial inflammation and bone erosion in rat arthritis models. It investigates whether bony spur formation relies on the expression of tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα) or RANKL. The article notes the analysis of the growth of bony spurs in rat collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) and adjuvant-induced arthritis (AIA).
