Abstract

The article presents an study on the quantification of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) among Chinese women with the use of three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound and 3D power Doppler. It states that Caucasian and Chinese women with and without PCOS were examined in the study which was approved by the Clinical Research Ethics Committee of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. It concludes that Chinese women have higher stromal volume although Caucasian women are prone to hyperandrogenism.
