Abstract
- The article reports that the brain is stimulated to release high levels of mood-elevating endorphins through coordinated social activity such as dancing or team sports as published in the "Biology Letter." The author states that Emma Cohen of the University of Oxford and her colleagues observe rowers training to distinguish it from the normal release of endorphins. The study shows that rowers operating as a crew have greater increase in pain threshold than going solo.
