Abstract
- The article focuses on the nanoscale spherical lenses as a means to beat the lenses' diffraction limit. The lenses, which are made up of calix[4]hydroquinone self-assembly, were introduced by a group of researchers including Philip Kim of Columbia University in New York City and Kwang S. Kim of Pohang University of Science and Technology in South Korea. Researchers noted that nanoscale lenses could be utilized as auxiliary components for resolution enhancement of scanning probe microscopes.
