The article focuses on 12 lighting collections introduced by Yamagiwa Corp. at Euroluce during the 2009 Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, Italy by recruiting talent from London, England, Paris, France, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Japan. Glass fibers were combined with resin by Toyo Ito in Japan to create the ethereal spheres of the Mayuhana table lamps and pendant fixtures. Peter Emrys-Roberts of London folded a ribbon of acrylic covered in ribbed fabric into a pendant fixture. Paris and Buenos Aires contributed Christophe Pillet's floor lamp.
