Abstract
- The article reports on foreign exchange rates as of August 19, 2009. It is noted that the euro performed well against the U.S. dollar as stocks in the U.S. posted gains but weakened against the Japanese yen. It is asserted that the overnight decline in Asian stocks benefited the Japanese yen which is expected to remain strong.
