Abstract

The article offers information on the Fun & Fit, Phase I program conducted for overweight African American and Hispanic American children from low-income families in the U.S. Accordingly, the program is funded through a Carol M. White Physical Education from the U.S. Department of Education, Lubbock Independent School District (LISD) and Texas Tech University. It is designed to deal the specific needs of the local community.
