Abstract
- This article assesses the political position of Alaska Governor Sean Parnell in 2009. It observes that Parnell does not engender much loyalty within the Republican Party in the state. It notes the emergence of potential candidates that might run for governor against Parnell, including State House Speaker John Harris, former Lieutenant Governor Loren Leman and state Representative Ralph Samuels. The article also stresses the need for support from former Governor Sarah Palin for the candidacy of Parnell.
