Abstract: This article reveals that Blackstone Group has sold 600 million U.S. dollars of 10-year senior bonds. The issuance yielded 6.73% or 3.125 percentage points. There was strong demand for the debt. Particular focus is given to the risk premium or spread of the issuance. Analyst James Lee of Calvert Asset Management says the deal is an indication that Blackstone is shifting toward the investment-banking model of debt issuance.
