Abstract: The article examines the difficulty of forecasting the future due to several economic factors such as the recession and the increase in oil prices. According to economist Tancred Lidderdale, economic forecasting is compounded by unpredictable events. Some forecasters claim that a better benchmark would be reasonable alternative predictions.
