Abstract: An encyclopedia entry for "symptomatogenic zone" is presented. It refers to a site associated with behavioral seizures. It notes that the symptomatogenic zone maybe located at a distance from the precise location of the epileptogenic zone. It asserts that clinical features of seizures are stereotyped because of specific pathways.
