Abstract
- An encyclopedia entry for "Progressive Myoclonic Epilepsies" is presented. It offers clinical information on progressive myoclonic epilepsies (PME), which is a classification of a family of myoclonic syndromes. PME is characterized with massive myoclonus, tonic-clonic seizures and progressive dementia. Its clinical features include cherry-red spot in the optic fundus, early blindness and intracy-toplasmic inclusion bodies.
