Abstract: Chapter 81 of the book "Advanced Therapy in Hypertension and Vascular Disease" is presented. It describes the hypertension condition of patients following a noncardiac vascular surgery. It illustrates how a patient with hypertension and other cardiovascular risk factors such as myocardial infarction (MI) and S3 gallop is evaluated. Details related to medical management of the patient with hypertension, including aortic reconstructive surgery and aortic cross-clamping, are also tackled.
