Abstract
- The article focuses on the several schemes that judges can utilize for the involvement of fathers in and out of court during child protection process. For court engagement strategies, it suggests to treat a father with respect and acknowledge his importance in the proceedings and to the child, as well as to remove hindrances to a father's participation. It also advises to appoint a qualified counsel during the proceeding. In addition, a judge's checklist for engaging fathers is provided.
